Very sad to leave!
We are very sad because we don't want to leave! We have very much enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is perfect and in the perfect location for a tranquil and relaxing stay. The views are stunning, The night sky is spectacular. Very well equipped cottage and warm and cozy. The dog loves the garden and the beach near St Andrews with wonderful walks. We will definitely have to return here. Thank you for the basket of goodies, especially Lesley's home made jam. "Yummy"!!

Stars and snow at Christmas!
Lovely cottage - it was great staying here. Thanks for the presents and especially those under the tree!. Such a tranquil place! we got to see the stars and the snow. A perfect getaway from busy London. Another thanks for keeping it well stocked - we didn't miss anything. Best wishes for 2026!

Lovely place, very well appointed and cozy. We enjoyed stying here and hope to return. Dog loved upstairs and the garden.
Third time returners!
Another lovely stay (third time) here at the Bolthole! Rather wet, but we still managed walks round and about including up to Loch Charles. Delicious lunch at the Meikleour Arms and would recommend the Glenshee Cafe too! Thank you for all the treats and Birthday decorations!! Until next time!! Dawn & David. A perfect retreat.
WOW! What a fantastic home away from home, wonderful location, fantastic views. Cottage is a perfect retreat - great to recharge your batteries. We were amazed with the thoughtfulness of Lesley & David in planning the Bolthole decor and amenities. We can't wait to return. Loved every minute. Thank you.
Peace, tranquility and no fireworks!
Our second visit to the Cottage as was as perfect as the first time. Just so lucky to get away from the city and stay in a lovely tranquil setting. So many great walks from the doorstep. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is such a luxury and we so appreciated it when we got soaked on our walks. Thanks for the generous hamper and treats for our dog too. Hope to come back again soon. Juno loved being away from the fireworks too!
Lost count of how many times we've stayed!
Another great stay at Bolthole Cottage. We've lost count of how many times we've been here! Enjoyed lots of walking and running. At Loch Charles we saw a Cormorant! Great to see the storm damaged tress have been cleared meaning that long runs right from the door are possible again. We'll be back XX.

Birthday Weekend at a perfect Cottage
Thank you so much for our lovely birthday weekend in this stunning cottage. We've had such a super time and really appreciated all the little touches you have done for us. The cottage is just perfect in every way. Our only complaint is that we did not stay for long enough but next time it will be for a longer stay……Thank you again, hopefully see you soon.
