From Blairgowrie drive north on the A93 (signposted Braemar). Turn left at Bridge of Cally and continue on the A924 towards Ballintuim. After approximately 2.5 miles turn left at the sandstone pillars at Blackcraig Castle, past the Lodge House, continue through the archway over the river Ardle and past the Bridge House and continue, bearing right. Bear right uphill until reaching a T junction, and turn right. Continue towards Crowhill Farm & Steading, fork left, slightly uphill, towards Bolt Hole Cottage. GPS should only be used until the gatehouse.
